Bone Building Fruit Smoothies with Kale

  • Yields: 2 servings (8oz per serving)

Ingredients

1 cup frozen berries

1 cup skim milk

½ cup low-fat vanilla yogurt

1 cup fresh kale, washed and chopped

Directions

1.Wash hands with soap and warm water. Wash kale well and chop as directed. Pat or spin the kale dry.

2.Combine all ingredients in blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Mix it up! Try adding any of the following ingredients for different flavors:
•Other frozen fruit such as mangoes, peaches, and bananas
•Calcium fortified milk substitutes: soy or almond milk
•Nut butters: peanut, almond, or sunflower
•Nuts: almonds, walnuts, and pecans
•Spinach
•Flax seeds or chia seeds
•Granola
