Partners in Policy, Systems and Environmental Change

Policy, Systems and Environmental Change (PSEs) is a way of is a way of modifying the environment to make healthy choices practical and available to all community members. Strategies are designed to promote healthy behaviors by making healthy choices readily and easily available. By changing policies, systems and/or environments, communities can help tackle health issues like obesity, diabetes, cancer and other chronic diseases by making it easier for all community members to make healthy food and activity choices.

Community Partnerships: We partner with a variety of organizations throughout Pima County to make changes in the community. In these partnerships we provide guidance, resources, and technical assistance to help make healthy choices practical and available to all community members.  When this work is done at a policy or systems level, the change can have a longer lasting effect and result in a new environment, where healthy choices are more accessible to everyone.  Through coalition work, direct partnerships, and trainings, we seek to expand our reach and support wider community efforts, to improve health and wellness for all.
