The Garden Kitchen offers free garden installations, gardening classes, and technical assistance to qualifying partners in Pima County.

The Garden Kitchen builds capacity and provides resources for qualifying Early Childhood Centers in gardening, nutrition and physical activity.

Together with our partners, we work to modify policy, and create systems and environmental change, in order to make healthy choices practical and available to all community members.

Fit First Saturdays are held monthly at The Garden Kitchen.  These free events include a physical activity class, a food demonstration and a gardening class.

Every Thursday we host a gardening hour open to the community, providing an opportunity for locals to learn more about home gardening and also allowing them to harvest.

Hands-on culinary classes offer a fun and interactive environment to learn new kitchen skills and techniques. Food you make will be both healthy and delicious!

The Garden Kitchen promotes and educates the use of farmers markets and benefits redemption programs. Find healthy foods and connect with your community.

SNAP-Ed is an evidence-based program that helps people lead healthier lives. People eligible for SNAP will learn about nutrition, physical fitness and how to make food dollars stretch further.

The PreventT2 lifestyle change program participants meet as a group, with a trained lifestyle coach, who empowers them to make changes to help prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.

Cooperative Extension plays a unique role in rural and urban Pima County. Extension programs promote environmental stewardship, family well-being, youth development, and agriculture.
