1 12-inch whole-grain pizza crust, unbaked
1 cup Simple Marinara or your favorite pizza sauce
2 medium Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced, seeded and patted dry
¼ cup fresh basil, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
8 ounces mozzarella cheese, sliced or 1 cup shredded
1.Wash hands well with soap and warm water.
2.Preheat oven to 400°F. Wash produce well and chop as directed.
3.Spread sauce evenly over pizza crust; top with tomatoes and basil. Sprinkle parmesan cheese and pepper, if using, over toppings.
4.Top with mozzarella cheese and bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes or until crust is golden and the cheese has melted.
5.Let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm. Enjoy!
