INGREDIENTS:
1 cup whole grain cereal (corn flakes, toasted oats, raisin bran, etc.)
3/4 cup nuts (walnuts, almonds, pecans, etc.)
1/2 cup dried fruit (cranberries, raisins, apricots, etc)
2 tablespoons shredded coconut
1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
EQUIPMENT:
Measuring cups
Large mixing bowl
Mixing spoon
6- sandwich size zipper storage bags
DIRECTIONS:
- Wash hands with soap and warm water.
- Pour all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix well.
- Portion out 1/2 cup trail mix into each zipper storage bag.
- Store at room temperature until you’re ready to eat. (Tip: Trail mix can be stored for several weeks, so save time by making enough for the month!)
