 1 cup rye flakes
 1 ½ cups rolled oats
 ½ teaspoon flax seeds
 ½ cup wheat bran
 ½ cup dried cherries, currants, or dates
 ½ cup walnuts, or other nut
 ¼ cup pumpkin seeds
 ½ teaspoon chia seeds
 ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

1.Wash hands with soap and warm water.

2.Preheat the oven to 350° F.

3.Spread the rye flakes, rolled oats, and flax seeds on a baking sheet. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, stirring two or three times to prevent burning.

4.Remove from oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes.

5.In a large bowl, toss toasted ingredients with remaining ingredients.

6.Serve with yogurt, milk, and honey*. Or pour milk over muesli and store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator overnight.

*Honey should not be fed to infants less than one year of age.
