
1 ½ cups quinoa
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cups apple juice or water
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon
⅓ cup dried cranberries
⅓ cup golden raisins
¼ cup sliced almonds

Wash hands with soap and warm water

Rinse quinoa in a fine mesh strainer until water runs clear.

Put into a 6-quart crockpot.

Mix in butter, if using.

Add apple juice, salt, cinnamon, cranberries, and raisins.

Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-4 hours.

Fluff the quinoa with a fork till it's tender.

Serve in bowls topped with almonds and enjoy!
