1 cup long or short grain white rice
2 cups water
pinch of salt (optional)
1. Wash hands well with soap and warm water.
2. Stir ingredients together in a medium saucepan over high heat.
3. When water comes to a boil, lower heat to a gentle simmer.
4. Cover and cook for 18-20 minutes. Turn off heat and leave lid on for 5 minutes.
5. Remove lid, fluff with fork and serve.
*No not remove the lid during the cooking process.
